Call me slow or whatever, but I noticed that LJ has now added "Schools" to the info page. And I think it's cute that some of you have put Hogwarts or Sunnydale High as your alma mater. I don't think I'll do that. What I *did* do, however, is check to see if actual alma maters were available. And lo and behold, you can actually click through to the school's official website. And then you can click through to the alumni page; and then you can click through the list of famous alumni and shrink to nothingness in your computer chair that happens to reside in an honest to God closet.

So yeah, I went to one of *those* schools. One of those schools that lists among its alumni a current U.S. Supreme Court Justice, former State Governors, movie stars, Nobel Prize winners, novelists, activists, world class musicians and World Series players. A whole spectrum of Movers and Shakers. Well, I can get this old body moving, but that's about it.

I guess it would be name-dropping to actually list these people whom I'm only associated with through a school I attended over 20 years ago. But I'd feel a lot better if you'd tell me of some of the famous alumni that went to your school so I don't feel like such a singled-out wastrel. Heck, double points if you're one of them.

I have wasted my life. Issues, much? Yeah, I guess.

But on the plus side: I have a dovil tomorrow! That's an accomplishment, isn't it? *g*
